there are lists of which stats point equals to which DVs (called IV in later games). You don't really need to check the DV actually, I just check some key stats like speed at key levels to determine whether it's high (10 or more) or low, on which I choose my strategy for later. DV only go up to 15 in gen 1
there is even a helper for this with which you can simplsy put in your stat and it gives you the DV and even the strats you have to use.
Pokemon red is at this just a grind for the best time, you can't really bring anything new to the table
If u dont know, most gen 1 teams were composed of stallers and dragonites with hyper beam, sometime a golem to tank opposing hyper beamers, because hyper beam is op but is resisted ny rock and golem was 4x shitted on by grass/water
Tauros had stab for hyperbeam though, but dragonites better for resisting elementals and fighting types, also non-existent dragon move so only blastoise with ice beam can kill him
Yeah but wasn't it balanced accordingly as well? Like, something that has 100 SATK and 150 SDEF in gen 2 would simply have 150 Special and not 125? Either way, Gen 1 has to be the most boring shit ever. Gen 4 onwards is really cool, the damage types depending on the move itself rather than the type is brilliant.
to be fair, i don't think they had much balance in mind. they focused more ont he single player, the fighting over link cable was just the logical conclusiion of the tech
also the only reason i know tauros is the metagame, you don't even see tauros in the game unless you fight a very optional trainer (you'd need to beat 2 other trainers before in viridian gym) or grind the safari zone
I can undersyand though that in gen 5 they attempted to recreate gen 1 archetypes and possibly adding a very awesome plot because of publoc outcry of how all previous game where just about singlehandedly beating ill-ptepared syndicates of varting nut telated cliched goals
Although im still in the 2k bracket im extreemly knowledgable about the mechanics of dota and how everything works, also a good captain in game, and am a good offlaner
because i came to conclusion that they're a bunch of fake hypocritical idiots and i don't want to have anything in common with them
also why do u even talk about them as your friends if u dislike them that much
well i occassionally talked with some of them which is the biggest social interaction i had but saying that they're "the closest people to me in rl" would give you a wrong idea even when it's technically true
The new venusaur (mega) is as op as fuck
Even after the weather abilities nerf
Grass wasnt always an underwheliming yype
Before steel types came along, most moves used in OU Tiers where normal type and rock resisted them. And leech seed on a no-spin team was ultra gg
Right now we have op shits in uu like fucking cancer breloom and normal venusaur and shits so op
Wow new page someone post nudes asdasdasdasd
wtf are u guys talking about
Ur mom and her pu$$y
@sam

wtf you talking about, grass was always shit, offensivly and defensively. in gen 1 you literally only used normal types, jolteon and gengar.
how to win with puck?
Yes but only grass have access to leech seed
Grass types were immune to leech seed
Only cloyster had rapid spin but isnt even good enough offensively at gen 1 (good shit with shell smash though on gen 5)
If u dont know, most gen 1 teams were composed of stallers and dragonites with hyper beam, sometime a golem to tank opposing hyper beamers, because hyper beam is op but is resisted ny rock and golem was 4x shitted on by grass/water
^wanna know what ur mother cant resist
my dick
cloyster, golem, chansey as stallers. tauros as sweeper. dragonite, despite type advantage is pretty shit actually.
tauros hyperbeam is the only thing that can kill a chansey i think
Everything can kill a Chansey though, doesn't it have terrible, terrible defense, although high HP and special defense?
Lols i always forget that tauros is a pokemon 4Head
Something else came to my mind and it was miltank 5Head
I was mever really interested in gen 1 meta cause it was really primitive, and alakazam psychic was pure cancer
nah, the giant hp pool is seripusly a problem. in gen 1 atleast, she pretty much stalls everything except tauros' hyperbeam i think
Chansey can sweep u with a special type move (im not sure if she can learn fireblast) 4Head
Sam special atk and special def was one stat in gen 1
i was wrong, hyper does up to 73%
yeah, you teached her ice beam. still kinda useless, she has like 150 spec
Tauros had stab for hyperbeam though, but dragonites better for resisting elementals and fighting types, also non-existent dragon move so only blastoise with ice beam can kill him

fighting types lmao
nah dragonite is shit, every pokemon 2 hits him, those who can't still outkill him
Ice types are even worse than grass types, stab is useless when u could 1 shot most dragons with icebeam with any type of pokemon
Kingdra at gen2 was really hard to beat though, with good spdef and speed
gen 1 is pretty boring vs wise. balance is horrible aswell. there are like 8 usable pokemon
it's like a normal doto patch
Also, new song for new page.
Gen 1 was mostly about catching 'em all and so the creator gave zero attention to the possible metagame
But gen 2 was a good try
to be fair, i don't think they had much balance in mind. they focused more ont he single player, the fighting over link cable was just the logical conclusiion of the tech
Man, i think the new pokemon designs are shit
I mean take a fucking look at that pokemon for sun/moon where do all these japaboos get their eccentric inspirations
also the only reason i know tauros is the metagame, you don't even see tauros in the game unless you fight a very optional trainer (you'd need to beat 2 other trainers before in viridian gym) or grind the safari zone
