yeah but where should I see how you do some things, for example the jump flying thing where you fly from one part of the field to another, also some common patterns in the game that work most of the time would be helpful like how to defend if the ball isnt in front of you etc
jfyi, we are talking about someone(me) who played like 4 hours of that game so far, I didnt even buy a controller(I doubt I will tbh)
well if ure brand new just play some freeplay and play the game normally, i also play with keyboard and u dont need a controller to be good
i play with controler (and cannot play with keyboard^^) and had my settings changed so i can do aircontrol on a trigger button (that really helped me). also go freeplay and play around with the camera settings (when you miss balls its mostly because of bad camera settings).
and as already mentioned: go custom training (not the default ones, get a really hard one made by players and practice the balls you find the hardest until you get them everytime). also worth mentioning is to play some dropshot (ez for air control, you kind of have infinite boost).
Hope i could help :)
I noticed alot of improvement after spamming 1v1, though boring it really helps learn ball control. I usually just have all forms of competitive queued so I can still have fun with it. I'm only gold rank in all areas so I'm nothing special though. I play rocket league just as much as dota.
im top player in dota 2 and also in rocket league.
if u want to become good in rocket league, use ps4/xbox one controller.
use LB as drift and air roll, and square as air roll left/right for quick half back flip.
boost RB and X jump.
I changed my mind and bought a controller, I hope I will get less dogshit at the game, cant hit a single arial ball that is moving
advices welcome and wished for
I bought the game during sale becuz of all them hype. Played for an hour, felt the game has a steep learning curve in it. Got totally outplayed(matchmaking sucks). Then asked for a refund and got refunded after a day. Btw i still have those few trading cards with me that i got while playing. Overall I think the game is okay, loved the music and graphics, just need some time and practice to git gud just like in dota. Still might consider buying it during sales.
I needed like 24 hours of playing to get what is going on, still have trouble with the camera, I hope the controller will help me
It is really enjoyable after you get kinda into it but I still feel useless when I get surounded with players who literally have me as the one guy who will lose them the game because of my ignorance of the game
I love the training mode tho, and it really helped me
still suck nontheless, like hard, lion ultying a creep and missing the last hit level of sucking

does anyone here play rocket league maybe?
I get that it is the wrong place to ask about it but I want to ask question that somehow refer to dota imho
like, how do you git gud there, what should you practice, is there some enthusiast like purge who explains the shit step by step or some players who explain how to compete
also, is it right to just start playing competitive to get better or should I play standard mode and which submode(1-1, 2-2, 3-3)
glad for any answer really
