If you know why you're building what you're building then do anything.
If you build what he suggested and don't know exactly why you have those items, you're doing it wrong. He builds those items because to fit the way he thinks about the game and the hero. It's very likely you think about the hero and the game differently so there is no point in buying drums if you don't know what they're for.
I have a friend who plays a shit ton of spectre. He plays Spec every game with around a 70% win-rate at 6k. He tends to go Wand, Aquilla, Phase(PT 25% of the time) Drums, Spirit Vessel, Radiance Manta Heart. Sometimes he switches items up but 75% of the time its this build here. Depending no His level of farm he will skip drums or Vessel.
I don't play spec anymore, because I know how easy it is to ruin a spectre's lane in my bracket with high chance of success.
A tide with support from a lich can totally wreck a Spectre's farm, even with two babysitters.
Dusa is a more reliable carry this patch.
EE is a team player, thats why hes buying Drums/Pipe on all pos1 heroes... Its not something you do in low skill pubs...
Pros buy drums 1st item on SF, doesnt mean we should do it. Even though I might start coz drums isnt all that bad stats on him.
Drums are super good item OP please dont post any thoughs for game cause ur obviously a fucking trahsh can shit ststain whom i fuck sisters and put them in prostitution garnage shit
Anyway spec is good carry can catch anyone solo on map and can deal big aoe dmg and is pretty tanky hard to kill
If you can translate the Drum charges into gank kills during the 10-20 minute portion of the game it's worth it. If your enemy isn't giving you much room to gank them then maybe pickup something that's better for farming, such as a Midas.
'' Anyway spec is good carry can catch anyone solo on map and can deal big aoe dmg and is pretty tanky hard to kill'' wow thanks for enlightening us with your wise words.. Who doesn't know these things :3
Some people need to learn, you have to buy extra items to actually win the lane or some fights. So you can actually reach your items timing faster. Or at least secure their later items
there was a point in time where I used to build Drums on some core heroes - Spectre and Tiny.
But ever since Urn of Shadows came in, Drums was never on my item list as core.
I just found out that Drums active works on your Haunt illusions. So i guess that's why? With Drums + Manta + Phase you also get max movespeed.
No, that's not it.
With drums + wand. U can actually kill some people before going radiance. You are not full burden to your team. You can actually sustain youself. You can actually solo kill some weak supports.
And only delay radiance by 1 - 2 minute. or maybe faster radiance timing + your team is winning
Garbage hero
This is coming from a guy who used to play her often with tons of success

He said:
- 90% of the time he goes Wand - Phase - Aquila - Drums - Radi - BM - Manta - Heart.
- Skill build, go 4-1-1 into 4-4-1.
- First skill point goes into Dispersion.
- Spectre is a really good carry pick this meta.
What do you guys think? I've never looked up to the guy much and I have to disagree on quite a lot of stuff here. Like, I don't see Drums being THAT good to warrant it being a core item. Also Dispersion level 1 is like, really bad unless you're forced to last hit under tower.
Also funny to note that RIGHT AFTER he replied to chat he went on and played a ranked Spectre game, and went Phase Aquila MIDAS. He lost that game.
