If you've rushed radiance then you are squishy and have mana problems - cheap/quick way of addressing both of these.
it also synergises extremely well with dispersion of course.
... i don't think 6 armor and 120 mana passes as "adressing squishiness and mana problems".
Especially not at 2200 gold.
if u get an early radiance and ur team is shitstomping the enemy blademail is ur cheapest winmore item
at 2200 gold u can jump on top of any of their tink/snipe/whatever burst hero they have --> pop blademail and now they cant do anything about it except die because a) if they fight back u reflect so much damage while taking little b) if they run u kill them with dagger radiance and punch them to death
i'd say its built on those situations where ur winning, u get an early radiance or some other item but u dont rly want to go manta because u either cant farm it fast enough (w/c can be a problem if u want fo close games faster) or they have a strong aoe highground defense (kotl tink snipe) and since ur not a bkb hero u go blademail instead

I think you are correct in that its built in some circumstances where you are jumping a tinker and he goes to blind milssle you while your sittin in march, Pop that thing and hes dead.
I actually consider blademail to be an item you buy when your are behind.
You can take an LC or axe and blink call/duel the enemy carry with double your networth and they kill themselves on it.
As for spec, I can see you building it against a carry whos way more farmed then you, you have 4 seconds of A and B described above to do whatever you need to do.
Its cheap and pretty effective.
Its good to pick up when they're basically forced to fight her. 20 minute Radiance is one example. I personally do the whole Phase : Drum : Manta : Skadi. And then get one. But that's me; I like to move fast and make enemies move slower. Its the act of making them understand that you have to be fought, for them to survive it, even through Blademail.
usually spectre isn't ahead so u don't see this item, but when she is it is ok. I wud still prefer yasha and shit for better chasing but sometimes it is rlly good. skywrath for example.
I dont play against shits like gyro/kotl/tinker/whateversquishyaoeglasscannonhero alot so I dont get it that much

Now - I see more and more of this item in the Dotabuff guides section. Recently, BurNing also bought the item after his 20 minute Radiance.
How is the item worth it on Spectre? Early game you have so much more items you'd rather have to cover for your piss poor laning/jungling. After your first big item (Radiance, for example) isn't it just plain better to go for Manta, Diffusal, Skadi, ANYTHING?
