RYZEN processor in General Discussion

So guys what are your thought about the newly release processor of AMD Ryzen?

It seems really good processor for a low price, well that's what I understood about it.

well theyre all 8 core and the clock speeds arent that amazing, BUT they have insanely high benchmarks for $300-400 on par with $600-1000 i7s. would be perfect if you stream dota and can afford a $1000+ setup, but i would wait and see what intel does with their prices. Something tells me that about a month or 2 from now will be one of the best times to make a new PC since the days of the i5-2500K.

idiot thread with idiot people againsts tecnology

        ImagineDodong

Woah why would this be an idiots thread whlie I'm just asking questions? So asking questions automatically makes you an idiot? that's how it works now?

Oh so I looked at Jandacrispy- profile and yeah I dont really have to pay attention to him cause he is a 1k idiot who thinks PA BF is a new and powerful build.

I haven't done much research (watched a Linus Tech video about their trip to the conference meeting) but from what they said the best AMD processor was slightly better then the i7 6900K.

I didn't read the description on the IMGUR link, but according to this picture, the 1800X has a better performance and is at half the price. This is huge. I don't know much else to say other than Intel may have to pull up an ace up their sleeve if they've been keeping something in the dark for a while now. Anyway lol... I don't think any of it really matters if you are solely a Dota 2 player. I think these are great if you 1, play other games and 2, like to stream. (not speaking for anyone just a thought on that).

Anyway, I am currently fine with my i7-5820K for the next 5-6 years or so =D

I don't know the significance of this or vulkan, but it has D2 and AMD lol.

this is so frustrating, i am saving for a new phone now a cheap processor comes in.

              ImagineDodong

Yeah now I'm also planning saving money for this shiete ahaha

Get 7700k and be happy. It's a complex explanation so i won't go much into it, but basically Ryzen single core performance sucks and only multi core performance competes with intel, which does not apply to gaming (for the most part) since games can't utilize more than 4 cores. So there is not a single processor atm that can push more fps in games than 7700k (due to it's ultra strong single core performance, or performance per core, however you like it).

                  er

Yeah poster above is right, 7700k is the go to processor unless u need more cores for real work.

                    ImagineDodong

                      ok2 noted

                      Chadzpyre

hopefully 7700k will drop in price now. Its probably the best cpu for just games atm, but $350? thats more than twice what my entire computer cost so yeah..

I bet single core perf is gonna be dogshit again so prepare your FailFish xD
