His talents got buffed. I think he isn't an Auto-loss anymore but he still feels like he's missing something. Maybe people just need to find the right itembuild for him and then he'll be viable.
Having more gold doesn't make winning games as easier as usually anticipated.
People are fooled too easily by opportunities of gaining gold for expense of other attributes that in fact result in winning more.
i mean hes doing a great job of murdering people as roaming doom im just not so sure it's good?
well, i think doom is still shit, it was 1000 times better when he had lvl death skill and agham doom did more damage and longer duration instead of him needing to be in 900 radius.
You have more gold with doom now, but his skills are still bullshit so not so much use if you want to carry, i only see this good if you will be team playah doom
i see Lucy as still a position 4 hero who can go midas and now with lv 10 devour gold doesnt require too much farm to become viable.
Your ult should be a kill or assist every time it comes online since people wont have Linkens or Lotus yet. I think his first 6 mins is insanely weak yet once you get ult and Phase boots if you devour the golems or dark troll you can become a nasty early teamfight/pickoff hero
Playing doom well is all about what creep to eat. oh and good luck killing him at 25 with the ancient golem HP aura, radiance and a heart or 2

I think they just got overexcited about the changes.
The devour talent does add a lot of gold. Rank 4 devour it adds 120gpm if you use it instantly off cd. Let's be realistic and say there's at least a 10 second down time, cus sometimes you'll be fighting or walking to find a better creep. That makes it 96 gpm, still nice. But to get that you need rank 4 devour so instead of being 1/4/4/1 you're probably 4/4/1/1 at 10, which maybe people do that regardless, idk. Still ~100 ish gold at level 10 talent is very strong but idk if it solves dooms issues like how doom without aghs kind of sucks, he has no good way to pop linkens etc.

use q, eat little satyr or mud golem, point target enemy hero to pop linkens, doom them.
