Ur not supposed to have your mana drained by am before casting your ult. You usually blink clap ult and there's no way they drain your mana so fast.

Seems to serve the same purpose as it saves for a quick pop then ult. but seriously though would it work to help with always having mana for ulti or blink q, i used it last game cuz of am and worked well but would a 5K ever build it?
