im being serious tho, like what would need to change for him to be seen played more? I really like watching a good ember but no one will play him.
Maybe if his sleight hit buildings (no cleave).
The only problem with him is you can't push rax. You can be 15-0 but they will just turtle until they can walk out of the base.
higher base stats + higher agi gain dunno how ember work at high mmr games but down here he's total garbage who'll lose the mid no matter what unless playing vs agressive pudge or sf....
@Rmili ember mid isnt bad cuz of his laning, in fact i wud pick him against invoker for that reason, cuz lvl 1 flameguard reks him. He is a great splitpusher, but has no way of breaking highground. His fighting is great is mobility is great, making up for his squishyness, but he cant push towers. I think maybe pairing him with a centaur wud be really nice, as u can use return to slowly kill the tower, and u can stomp into chains. Maybe a cent safe, ember mid, weaver/oracle support (for the fates edict/time lapse with aghs), lich babysitting the cent, and tide off. U have 2 tanky frontliners, with lich armor to slowly but surely siege, good teamfight, good splitpush. I think it lacks a bit in ganking/support rotations, but for that u cud swap out lich for a better roamer. Before return nerf i think instead of lich u wud run sd and use illusions to push highground. I can easily imagine NP running this with aui on cent safe (seen a lot of that on NP), and EE on ember cuz thats his signature hero.
ember is just like tinker once he gets a bf
global mobility, clears lanes really well, really good in fights and can gank fairly well with levels
neither have pushing power but ember still scales well into late game (think double rapier crits)
i dont think he needs a buff really because he's still really strong overall, you just cant pick him if your team has no push, because he's good at what he does but only that
If the meta filled with many illusions hero, he might come to play again.
That new monkey king will shift the meta for sure.
ember already has avarage pick rate hes placed 58th on popularity and has around %6.5 - 7.0 pickrate
there are heroes that u should worry about more, like lycan & sylla. they have alot less pick rate and shittier winrate
Make his shield to immune to magic damage. 1st skill/searing chain to stun rather than root. Make ember ult to do 100 more damage. Make sleight to have cleave with no reduce damage on creep but did not deal extra damage on hero. Pick 2 of the change
Shield immune to magic dmg is a nerf to his lategame. Ember doesnt need any of these things, his biggest problem is tower pushing. If slight had default cleave his farming wud be way too fast he wud be broken. Al for lycan and ld, ld has a shit winrate cuz he is hard to play, he is still ok as a hero, others r just better, and lycan is still picked into push strats. None of these heroes r altogether bad, theyre just not great and dont fit the meta. There is a thing all of these heroes lack, that displaces them from being good in the meta.
He needs ult that actually does something on lvl 2 instead of just being a global blink
so basically just a stats change, Some form of rework on his sleight of hand, and better scaling on the ultimate.
