A few thoughts on Simplifying dota - You have to think 'why did i pick this hero' and that is the way you should skill your hero.

eg. Tusk's Sigel, you should max this, Lich's frost armour, Ogres bloodlust, Beastmaster boar

These are a few examples of heros that you should max thier highest impact spells first, i am often victim of this, however If for example, you max your Bloodlust by 7 on ogre, you now don't need anymore levels and you're peaked as a support. this means 12mins into the game you can be pushing rax's.

I once thought I'd pick support Magnus so I could suk my
            Carries dick. So I maxed
            Cleave. Is this right?

            We lost that game though

He posted it because he just owned a match as ogre and felt like showing off his ocean of knowlegde unto us

mom said it's my turn to ...

                Something like this?

Hi, 4k player who reported slahser. Slahser was our position 1 faceless void. He built a mek and had around 29 healing salves in his inventory. He would chrono both teams in a fight, salve his allies, pop mek, and proceed to yell "SLAHSERS WAY". We gave him position 1 farm so he could be position 5.
Granted, his unorthadox build carried us to victory, but I still felt it deserved a report.
                pls no copypasterino

                robert

i posted it because i constantly see 4-2-0 ogres, 4-1-1 beastmasters and such, which is negating the reason you pick the hero, in that senario there is a better hero to do the job.

                      Shou

Not necessarily. Maxing bloodlust on ogre is not nearly the always surefire build. A lane support ogre ye, but a roaming ogre needs more ignite points before he can start buffing his carry.

                        Dire Wolf

That seems really dumb since a lot of skills aren't that great early but scale for end game like venguful spirit's aura. You probably pick venge either for the aura over another disabler or for the swap to counter pick stuff like bat or void. But early the aura is 12%, that's like 12 dmg in your lane, not that significant over reducing armor or more stun.

Same goes for ogre, the lust scales great in end game while his nukes fall off (unless multi cast procs a bunch) so it's natural to skill the nukes first and lust later.

And lich? Lich's frost armor slow doesn't increase with levels, only the armor does. I would never put more than a value point in early.

While i agree with you on Venge as a case, i do believe on venge you want 1-4-4-1 as you transition into the midgame.

The Thing about ogre, while in a game where you are snowballing - Making your nukes is great, the Move speed given from Bloodlust and 60/as is incredibly important and is the reason that Ogre is such a strong pick.
Giving your Sniper 60 a/s will be more damage than having more levels in your nukes overall.

Lich, while naturally when i was playing lich i was thinking 2-1-2 is a solid allrounder, or 3-0-2 is great situationally, The thing is. Lvl 1 frost nova still does its slow, lvl 1 sacrifice still has its impact. Having the extra armour at an earlier stage, especially when the entire enemy team gets slowed by it, is generally the reason people pick lich at a higher Tier of play (and the lane domination)

I was watching a stream where PPD talked about it with Puppey, universe and Envy, they all had the same thought process. Saying (lich is OP, lvl 7 max armour and he's good to go)

The major example was tusk. lvl 1 shards, still disrupts the enemys pathing.. Lvl 1 snowball still saves team mates and initates.. Lvl 1 sigel slows less than lvl 4 sigel. So you should max sigel. While i origonally thought you might fail with having less damage in a (public game). In a more organised game, you would have more than enough damage, and tusk is used for his utility.
