On Core Abaddon maybe, but Core Abaddon is kinda Meh in most cases.
On Support I go Tranquals > Basi> Raindrops > Maybe Urn > Upgrade Basi to Vlads > Aether
Later on a blink dagger is also nice if you can afford it. Drums isn't really worth it on a Supp Abba.
drums on supports is retarded 99/100 games. if you buy drums on cm drink bleach immediately
I think a vlads on aba is better, whether offlane, support, or safelane if u have chronic retardation.

I never build drums on Abba. It's just not worth it. Whether you support or not.
When I support with him I just rush yasha and basher and I go nuts harassing enemy heroes and push towers. Usually I go GG after the yasha/basher build.
Drums? The stats are cool, and the movespeed is okay, just not worth it. Pipe/Mek even Vlads is better if you are going for Aura.

Depends on the lane you are against. Having more hp and aura vs hard harass is always good. Its not wasted money if you buy vlads instead.
Aba aghs ulti actually makes ur team immortal. Ur team can afford to go more dmg less survivability, cuz the aghs ult is like rum buff but no tick dmg.
