Both teams are allowed a coach in their booth during games? So all players can focus on the game with one strategy mastermind looking at the game and calling the shots.

Would this improve the level of gameplay for the spectators?

I mean kinda like soccer where the coach and manager is screaming on the sidelines. Think it would make for quite a spectacle.

I also think production value of games should step it up a notch and let us hear snippets of team speak during casts kinda like F1.

    What do u think? :)

    Pippo^

      Its already like that

      Shou

The coach u speak of is usually the most experienced player, like Mushit for Fnatic. Or the designated captain like crit for eg, captain is usually 5 pos support but not always.

@pippo already like that? U mean the coach can go into the booth and tell players what to do during game? I mean like a sixth person

It would be dumb, part of the skill of Dota is being able to shotcall and captain while playing the game. As much as I like to see high mechanical skill players perform at their peak I don't want one of the key parts of Dota to be removed from the game in favour of 5 sumails with ppds forced to play coach.

Also if you've ever played Soccer having a coach on the sidelines is very different, it's not as if the coach screams in each player's ear 'go 10 metres forward then jink left and pass to Messi', it is much more general shit due to the nature of the game and the fact that there's only so much you can shout from the sideline. Also any instructions you shout can be heard by the other team. Compare to Dota where a coach in the booth could basically dictate where every player moves, how they draft, how they teamfight and even tell them mechanical shit like 'its 52 seconds, stack ancients'.
