Depends on what you mean by "other stuff"
If we're talking about aquila or PMS then it's fine
But if you get desolator or BF before finishing your treads or at least make arcane to disassemble it later for your shits then you wasted all those extra GPM just because you think boots upgrade isn't that good because eventually it will become BoT (come on people who do this still buys TP 6 or 7 times before getting BoT anyway)
When I play luna it's always a plain brown boots until I complete my hurricane pike, or at least a dragon lance then I go straight into BoT and move around the map to dodge fights and farm
Hmm playing Luna in that style of dodging and split pushing? Usually u skip treads if u need to split push and not fight or if your hero excels at split pushing and sucks mid game. Like ember invoker sometimes morph or TB.
Usually u have some form of escape that let's u split push dangerously. But Luna has no escape and doesn't buy blink. Her ultimate and midgame is really strong. So I usually play her more like a fighting style hero.
