that won't help you at all, actually it's the opposite of helping^^
real advice; you need to do take a couple of hours to think about every hero and their counters and allies.

Also curious about the answer also sometimes I end up captain cm and Im not really good at it
whats wrong with ditapicker?
problem with dotapicker is you learn the counters without learning the reasoning behind hte counters
aka you give someone a hero, but he doesn't know what to do with it
nor do you know why it is a counter.
so it's extremely counter-productive and it'll leave you losing more than winning.
haha yea u r right. because alot of the times i wonder why the hero is good against them. but if u keep using it and trying to figure out why u eventually learn why.
but when ur teammates dont then it is abig issue cus they didnt realize aa ulti stops huskar from regen or some stuff like that
so lately in drafting i just pick wat they want within reason.

guide from the navi site lul
also i think its good to find out what ur buddys strong points are and draft around that ban w/e will counter ur team.

an avg game last about 45 min, 45 minutes to learn a shitty lession and you may not even learn it
or you could simply, just do what i said. and just go 1 hero by 1, not play them, but just think about them.
example like purge did; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihHIKnTeKl8
in 2 hours of thinking, purge made more conclusions than someone who'd play 200+ games
wow thanks for the link never seen that :)
thanks for the other link also nice
Try to know your teammates' comfort heroes. Ban their counters. Revolve your draft around that.
Because what's the point of having a good draft of heroes when your teammates can't even play it. I assume it is not professional dota so relying on comfort heroes is better.
assumig ur team is not good (not tier1 i mean), u need to focus more on picking the heroes ur players are comfortable with in such a way that they would synergize well with each other, rather than counterpicking. dont pay too much attention to what the enemy team picks unless they draft huskar or something super weird.
u guys didnt get wut i was saying.
teams strongpoints, i meant something like wut heros they are good with, and figure out wut they can play well and just ban wut counters ur team
I recommend sticking to heroes your team knows over what is best in the meta or what counters what. Don't completely ignore the meta or counterpicks but at the end of the day you are better off playing your comfort picks than what is strictly the 'strongest', especially if you are a lower level team and your players don't have very deep hero pools.

We beat a team composed of 1 7k and 3 mid-high 6ks (our team's average mmr is probably just above 5k for comparison) just by picking our comfort heroes and strategies we were confident with. Most people would call second pick Tinker a bad idea but we know our mid player plays a beast Tinker and it fits very well with a playstyle we are extremely comfortable on, and it ended up working out really well.
First of all I'd set my mind around a defined strategy. Once u decided what's ur plan in the game, u can pick all those heroes that fit the strategy and u r comfortable with. And ban heroes that would not allow you to perform ur plan well, even if banning is way more difficult imo. If u have a really limited pool of heroes, I guess u can reverse the thinking by setting few heroes and building a strategy around them, but it's way more risky.
