some people are just more analytical than others (and have superior attention span), and sometimes they are on the right track, sometimes they are way off the mark because they try to grasp a subject they can't because their skill level is too low to begin with or they speak from their trench experience, trying to offer advice that only works because their opponents are bad and they don't quite get it (invoker radiance rofl dood i got rampag nobody knew how lul)
the only way a ns rant is going to make sense is if the player is basically just relaying what 5k+ players are saying and even then people might get the wrong idea or misinterpret something due to their lack of experience
in that case, being self-critical is very important and a lot of ns players believe their teammates are holding them back to begin with (despite their 49% global winrate, rofl) so in the end majority are just attempting to at least sound smart, if they can't play the game well enough to warrant their unspoken superiority
not saying that a lot of 5k+ players don't have a superiority complex, they do, but they can put it to a test and you can't argue against it
also let's not pretend that it's only ns guys that write those long ass elaborate posts in any media, it just happens that actual streamers/people who are not dogshit in general tend to say all those things in a video so they seem both more eloquent and concise, when they are often not, but at the same time they'll make more sense by the virtue of players being incomparably better
I've actually listened to Bren Dota channel on yt a fair bit and he's a 7k player and I could really learn a lot of him, and a lot of those things I have yet to apply or get used to, but he's extremely concise and "boring" because he's really "down to a t" when it comes to criticizing his own gameplay or giving advice in general.

Of course there will be more normal skills, but the walls of text that most of them post in the forum is something. It's quite rare you see a VHS player write paragraphs and paragraphs on end in the forums.

I think the bigger key to mmr is being able to process information quickly and make fairly straightforward decisions. That's not what I would call intelligence. It is a skill/talent but it isn't neurosurgery.

dota isn't counter strike, it's a strategy game. it's a very slow game, and no matter how fast your execution is. if you don't know the theory behind the game, you'll always be low.
