buy treads only if buying mek, otherwise phase. into dragon lance and yasha. manta into mkb. from here on choose what your game needs. Not sure but I think diffusal blade is good. Eblade isnt the worst choice too apparently.
Why the fuck do ppl go mek on viper? Is this a thing in higher skill brackets or is it a normal skill thing?
I always go aquila, treads, dragon lance (before it was introduced i just insta-rushed yasha), manta, into late game items esp butterfly (silver egde or mkb if needed depending on enemies).
Basically manta is core for me on viper i always make it, and with the intro of drgon lance- hurricane pike i always make that too now.
Viper owns in normal skill
mkb is pubstomping on viper coz of the mini bash (which is good to land at least one extra hit with toxin)
in general mkb is a good way to increase dps on most heroes
not to mention interrupting tp's or channels (every game you will find that to be useful)
64% winrate over 450k games on a hero with 48% winrate, statistically mkb is his 2nd best item (1st being butterfly)
^never take dotabuff's item win rates seriously.
Deadulus and bloodthorn are better than mkb for dmg for all heroes and mkb is only made for the utility it provides in true strike. TP cancellation is too RNG-based and no one ever makes mkb solely for "interrupting tp's or channels".
Many times one ends up making mkb on viper just for the true strike, but honestly, apart from that u r much better off making deadulus, bloodthorn or even butterfly from a pure dps perspective.

If you get MKB early, and if you mini-bash on your 1st or 2nd attack, you basically killed teh guy cause you're viper.
u cud hav been spamming any >5k gold agility-carry item with viper and winning the vast majority of ur games, viper is god in normal skill
I guess. But there were games I won coz of the minibash for sure (stop antimage blink animation(50% hp), next attack kill antimage).
But yeah, there are better items to buy if noone in the enemy team is building butterfly/radiance/solarcrest/halberd or are phantom assasin/troll/brewmaster.

I myself make mkb more often on viper than deadulus (theres usually an evasion hero in the late game) - in fact I dont think I've ever made daedulus on viper ever, I just keep stacking agility items like manta butter.

Aghs is actually good on him. Double ult range and 10 second cd (and lower manacost)
butterfly is going to be better than mkb as extension in 65-80% of games, evasion synergizes greatly with his skillset, flutter lets you chase people down, and the item itself gives greater dps
some people bought orchid on him before it could be upgraded, so i'm sure thats not complete trash
i remember purge talking about how great viper aghs is back when it was 12s cd, but the meta was completely different back then also
I go treads aquila dragonlance utility tank item(pipe or crimsonguard or lotus etc),blink or sb,s&y or manta, butterfly or skadi(i prefer skadi for kiting),hurricane pike, shiva or hex. i prefer crimsonguard for utility tank item because 5 carry enemy team and all physical damage(yeah ns player), blink for teamfight item and sb for solo kill item and evasion. I really find skadi a good item coz ez 100 movement speed. I buy s&y for kiting and manta for silence.
It depends is the answer cus viper can play offlane, mid or safe, and it depends on if you have to be your teams primary dmg or a tank and disabler. Also depends on enemy team since Bloodthorne is good vs some heroes, others u might want aghs like vs ursa.
I'd say lance and Aquila are core every game and usually phase over treads. After that situational. Even AC and medallion can be good in some games

well not in all brackets maybe until 5k though i am not sure (not saying rush dagon maybe after mek or greaves)
and that viper build ^ was game winning in some game i spect.
