Over the last patches, certain heroes - Omniknight, Necrophos and Abaddon - have consistently topped the Hero Win Rates even if they were out of the meta. Whether or not to nerf them is a very hard decision to make. Why? It's because they have topped DOTA 2's Pub Charts but are rendered almost completely useless in the professional scene. So the question still remains, should we buff or nerf these heroes?

Looking from the last patches of DOTA 2, we can now expect hero changes here and there. The best way to buff/nerf the heroes is through a Hero Remake.

Omniknight:

Purification - a 10-second heal/aoe nuke that can change the outcome of the fight
Repel - a spammable 12-second magic immunity that has a 14-second cooldown
Degen Aura - basically a Eye of Skadi Aura
Guardian Aura - you basically cannot deal physical damage to the enemy team; with the aghanim's upgrade and refresher, you're screwed unless you are able to bait the ultimate and kite them

We all know that Diffusal Blade is the best way to counter an Omniknight, but let's be honest. Diffusal Blade is a really bad item this patch and doesn't work well on some heroes. It is also charge-limited while Omniknight's spells are spammable.

Necrophos:

Death Pulse - BALANCED
Heartstopper Aura - You wanna secure lane xp and torure their carry? Pick Necrophos, max his 2nd skill, afk in the lane
Sadist - BALANCED (as of now)
Reaper's Scythe - adds 30 seconds to the respawn timers; with the aghanim's upgrade, good luck buying back; total game changer ult

Necrophos is really considered one of the best heroes to win a stomp and a comeback.

Abaddon:

Mist Coil - UNDERPOWERED
Aphotic Shield - BALANCED
Curse of Avernus - BALANCED (not balanced in a stomp)
Borrowed Time - BALANCED

I really don't understand why the hero has a really high win rate.

So basically, the best way to nerf these heroes is through HERO REMAKES. Why? Because they are good in pubs and bad in professional DOTA.
