It's just kinda hard cus od, invoker, zeus all blow him up fast early. You need to pick off supports and snowball or farm. He's a surprisingly good farmer.
@TripleSteal depends, he "counters" spec mainly because he farms faster and has more early presence but spec is the better carry or idk, you will have higher winrate if you spam spec even if she loses to sven, sven has more weak spots. I think she s the best carry in this patch. And about slark - he has the lowest winrate of all 3, tried him against sven few times and lost pretty hard.
What about medusa? Od seems to counter her but she's still pretty strong. One of my fav carries.
Slark can't outfight sven if both are equally farm lel. Cleave enables him to keep on hitting slark even when he shadow dance, warcry pretty much mitigates slark's damage, god's strength helps him rape everyone else. Slark isn't exactly a true hard carry. Sven can outcarry spec mainly due to his insane dps, but he's really easy to be kited while Spectre is almost unkitable due to Haunt + Spectral Dagger.
I definitely think a 6 slotted slark is way more scary than a 6 slotted sven. Although a 6 slotted slark is much more rare
new patch has Invoker imba af,thanks to miracle for spamming invoker so skrub nowadays thinks voker = ez win = increasing his pick rate
so :
invoker > slark
it's work fine just with blast = disabled slark physical damage
sunstrike = RIP slark shadow dance
meteor = RIP slark shadow dance
and the last but not least quas quas exort gives slark ebola.

Slark used to be my go to hero , then I got bored of playing him but now if I try to play him he doesn't seem as strong dotabuff statistics show him sub 50% when usually he is around 50% I don't know of any nerfs to him so what happened ?
