Are those spicy flavors actually spicy? I've been dissappointed by way too many snacks claiming to be hot, when in reality they were just spicy for people with oversensitive tongues.
I mean compared to what? Heat is really subjective. The habenero is a lot hotter than any jalapeno flavored chips I've had. I'd say it's like two or three times as hot as frank's red hot or tabasco sauce. Or like wasabi, around that level of heat. Pretty good burn for me, probably medium for people who really like heat.
Are you familiar with buffalo wild wings and their sauces? I'd put it around the caribbean jerk/hot bbq level, you know, a lot hotter than what american's call medium, but not like scorching hot.
I havent tried them all yet but im a huge fan of sour cream.I actually never bought any other flavours then sour cream when I think about tho maybe cause I'm weird well whatever man.... After reading this thread I feel hungry arh I need dem lays
Just make a mexican or someone from SEA try some of them. If they tell you it's spicy, then you damn better beleive it is spicy.

The flavors are NEW vs OLD:
Fiery Roasted Habenro vs Flaming Hot
Korean BBQ vs Honey BBQ
Kettle style Olive Oil and Herb vs Kettle Style Salt and Pepper
Smoked Gouda and Chive vs Cheddar and Sour Cream
I've tried all except korean bbq at some point, specifically since these were released I've had habenro, olive oil, gouda and chive, and I have had flaming hot, honey bbq, salt n pepper and cheddar sour cream before.
Habenero kicks flaming hots ass. The flaming hots are just hot without a lot of flavor, think tabasco sauce. The habenro have a really nice subtly sweet smoky flavor. And they're probably the second hottest chip I've ever had, but not unbearably hot.
The gouda chips are good but honestly taste like sour cream and onion. The gouda just isn't a strong enough flavor. And I thought gouda cheese was pretty distinctive but whatever. Cheddar sour cream is just such a great flavor it wins. Although the ruffles version is far, far superior!
Honey bbq is not my favorite bbq chip, it's sweet without any smoke flavor at all. I prefer mesquite bbq or just regular bbq of other brands. Lays has a pretty good southern heat bbq too which is very mild but has a better flavor. But korean bbq on a chip sounds gross so I voted honey bbq.
Pepper kettle vs the herb one is hard. I like black pepper chips, very mild flavor, basically regular chips with some black pepper and I love me some black pepper. Great for dipping too cus they aren't all flavored up. The herb one sounds good and you can definitely taste basil and oregano on them. The packaging says they have thyme too. They taste very much like a dash of italian seasoning. The thing is I'm just not sure I like it on a chip. It seems more suited to a cracker like ritz or something or just on garlic bread. So I went with pepper here too.
