You can go either way, if you are against a weak lane without natural regen and they don't have heavy disables then one point heartstopper is the way to go but never max it. But if it's like a trilane that will fuck your shit up, or there's a really aggressive mid who will gank you etc, or just a super strong lane like a cm + jug or something don't skill it cus it'll push the lane and get you killed.
Also I'd max sadist before pulse, you get mana starved spamming pulse early and sadist gives you such great sustain in lane. I'd go 2/0/4/1 at 7 if it were me.

Yeah the offlane is a great place for pos 3 necro to get the farm that he needs. So the point in aura will really boost lane control to an acceptable level. I take my advice back man it was obviously wrong.
One point in Aura just prevents enemy carry from being aggressive in the laning phase. You can still get ganked if you push too hard but it's not like Necro needs lots of farming anyway, so you should limit yourself.

Value point in HS aura at level 1, max Pulse first and Sadist second. Ulty at 6, 11 and 16.
As for items, Wand, PT, Blademail, Drums as core in that order. Later get OC, Shiva's, BKB, Aghs, Hex in whatever order needed. Refresher is good also. Ghost is situational.
Still salty about my last game... 4.3k THD who did calibration by Oracle abuse lost me the game while talking how MMR doesn't matter...

One point in aura does very little to push your lane compared to the cumulative effect on heroes.

I don't really even like offlane necro, carry necro is the best for pubs imo, but no one will ever give you safe lane thus you have to farm off.

In my mmr a lot of people go offlane and max heart stopper, which is great and all because it's annoying, but i feel like having more points in Q is too valuable to not take, and I would argue sadist is one of the best passives you can have in lane and for team fights.
Is it best to just get a value point in heart stopper at maybe level 1 or level 3-4 or something?
How do you guys skill necro?
