I usually do other things like watching YouTube videos or playing another video game when waiting for game load so I get into the game at about 0:30 on the clock.
^You do know you lose gold if you don't get into the game before it starts? Use the 1 minute and 30 seconds pick time to see what your team is picking and pick a hero that actually goes well with their picks.
