My team did nothing majorly wrong. We lost because I made 2 critical mistakes. It has nothing to do with KDA. You get MMR by winning, not playing Lion and buying a dagon and sniping last hits.

Higher players exist with low KDA's but those are just a couple of examples. KDA whoring has nothing to do with higher calibration. This can go two ways. Either you're extremely involved and just good at staying alive, or your being overly cautious and split farming contributing little but ending up with a tidy KDA.

One player will be 6K, the other 3K.

You also have extremely low amount of games and your KDA will drop to about 2-3 by the time any given hero hits about 100+ games.
