Ill update the thread later on and give some potato common dota items to those ones who will guess it right.
mg1-mg2. the highest my global friends got after calibration was LEM (on smurfs), and we only played 5 stack with only supremes and globals, its quite hard to calibrate high even if u are good at the game
LEM = Legendary Eagle Master
MG = Master Guardian
lem = legendary eagle master
mg = master guardian
if u play okayish on ur calibration u can get mg i think, but nova 4 is just as possible. dont take the rank u get after calibration too serious
i wont come back to playing cs competitively anyways, so i definetely wont take the calibration results serious. the only reason i bought this game is because my irl friends asked me to join them.
its not overestimate, most of my old 1.6 friends including me got mg and even nova when we first played csgo
i dont play competitively either, i never play solo, only with friends. but we're somewhat decent so we take the games serious at our ranks
well, im and old man (quote from Yoshi), and im bad in adapting to new stuff ^
we might play some scrims (mixes? im not rly sure how it is called outside of russian servers) later on with our friends :D. However, my dudes are not very decent,from what I saw when watching them playing 1.6 and source.
we call them mixes too, most of europeans do, americans call them PuGs i think (pick up groups i believe thats what it stands for). i can play with anyone really i dont mind, i only play csgo for fun, its more chill than dota. i wish i could play music too while playing cs
silver 2 ofc lol
i had started as silver 3 and had my way up to master guardian elite (195 competetive wins)
ok m8, if you're fine in 1.6 you should get atleast Gold Nova in CS:GO. My guess would be Gold Nova 3 or 4, but I heard the ranks were inflated since last time I played.
biggest Change from 1.6 to GO is momentum of your character, you move way faster and it feels slippery at the beginning. some of the maps changed quite a lot, not sure what your favourite map is but I'd stick to dust2 since it's pretty much just a retexture.
bought it a while ago
played 1 game
fedall game
got kicked once it was half time or smth (0-15 or smth)
never played it again

So, I bought CS:GO and got zero clue of what's going on there. An IRL friend of mine is currently playing some sort of NMM there to give me access to ranked, so I literally won't play a single match in GO untill I start my calibration. The game looks very weird to me, and I'm rather bad in adapting to new engines in CS (several years ago I failed completely when trying to play Source).
Predict where I will end up after calibration. I will probably start it on friday-saturday this week.
Background: I am a mediocre (ex-decent) cs 1.6 player; in the last 3-4 years I play couple of times a month or even less.
