I feel everyone has a main name lol , like i have Noctis. People use alias because they get bored of same name? or see a better character and inspired by it @_@ or just for sake of doing it like I had gin, kurosaki, ikki , cloud what not names

I had the same name for about half a year aswell now, before that I just changed it occasionally, I woke up and thought to myself that this name looks, or sounds stupid. My picture changed more often simply because I thought that the older versions became "outdated" with the jokes or I've came across a better picture.

doge is just weird, aslong his picture stays the same, I don't mind his name changes. atleast they always follow the same sceme.

mostly thanks to dota where you can change nick in two seconds and type whatever crap you want there, usually it happens because of losing ranked matches

im always tagging ppl with their original nicknames so i would be able to recognize them. the option I use is called "Add a nickname" and it can be used when youg et the chat window open.

I use nicknames a lot. and I actually group my friends into tags so that I dont get confused

Well, it doesn't really matter, I know most of the people on here by looking at their name or avatar, or what they say. Some people on here are dumb, so I already get an idea of who it might be just based on how they type as well. Or, you know, i can.. Just check their past names.

Just decided to adopt the "add nickname" feature

I nickname people who constantly change their name, these are usually the 9v1 or i hate my team type of namers. A lot of people keep the same name forever.

I generally don't change my nickname - only, maybe, avatar couple times a year. Generally - because sometimes you might want to choose something funny, hilarious, ridiculous, making some kind of joke out of it.

I just call him puppy.

it's not about the true meaning of a name. It is about the quality of the name, how it sounds, how it feels. THat is what makes a name good.

yoshi, like u said "persona" or "image". It changes in normal life, so why not put on a new avatar or a new nick once in a while. Its like shifiting ur boxers or ur shirt. Feels good after a while ;)

For some ppl it may sound different...

it is annoying. after a while you cant tell who is who in your fl. and since everyone keeps private profiles its retarded to find out certain person sometimes.

i had to resort multiple times to look at common friends from another guy i know and then proceed to look for whoever i was originally looking.

thats my problem too, thats why i tried to keep an avatar that was somewhat similar and i posted it here too and kept my nickname ;)

Honestly, I don't change neither nickname or avatar because I'm too lazy to do so.

^^today when i was looking for 5th at one point of time, i thought that it would be nice if you came cz we lacked of core player, and i was just manually looking through my friendlist to understand where the heck you are.

im gone for like 1 week so no doto, im just sometimes checking som forums includin dotabuff when im bored, like now w8ing for my m8s to get ready and go out. this shit time zone suks ass its like 2 hours earlier wtf

btw today ive seen havoc, and he has another nick and profile pic. i recognize him by pure accident - i missclicked and pressed "send message", and it turned out he was tagged as "havoc badger".
