If your spoiled as a support or offlane it's a fun item to spam on your hard carry when he is the top priority.
In most cases though useless luxurary it would appear.
I've played with some people making this item seem extremely imbalanced in lategame with hex reflects etc.
It's a matter of how you read situation and how well you use it. I've figured I don't use it very well in the games I've bought it, although it's a learning proccess.
Just wait, suddenly the item will be a frequent pickup on a huge amount of heroes.
the concept is great but not all players have good reactions to reflect hexes and stuns in time
its basicly same shit as slark's dark pact u can dispell anything but its really unrealiable any higer lvl player will just fake that shit
its good on heroes that initiates and forces them to do something about you
think of pa, ursa, slark etc
It buys you time to run if Jugg is chasing you since you will do the omnislash dance with him if he ults you.
If you time it well you can bounce Lich's chainfrost back at him since that projectile moves so slowly. Works for sniper's assassinate too as you can see the debuff.
total shit item. cost a lot and doesnt do shit, even when they buy it for me(lion) it doesnt matter
I've only seen it like twice in game. So rare when I see the effect I go wtf is that. Strange because when the notes came out everyone thought it would be imba but no one builds it.
I think a team should have at least one lotus orb, or even 2 or 3.
Dispell, + cast on engager/teammate who is focused on, is highly valuable.
And the sound it makes when it triggers is freaknening everyone.
It reflects any spell that is targetting the hero (omnislash,rupture, chain frost, etc etc), even fissure/impale etc if es targetted him instead of ground. Way better than linken imo, and more fun too.
The shield is a bit too obvious though. Easy to spot and counter.

Is this item worth anything? I got it once on omni because I needed an instant cast dispel (and didn't want bkb). While it did that well enough, the active seems pretty useless considering the low uptime
I'd rather have a SC applied to me than an orb in almost all cases, and in most situations better items fulfill the role of saving people (glimmer force eblade)
Is the only niche of this item dispelling hex/silence from fragile cores like qop and am? Or is there some hidden potential that I'm missing
btw blademail lets you double the damage on ur targeted nukes against the buff
