as yahtzee said, square enix just wants to be a film maker. Now they're trying to push off gamers with unrealistic exceptations.
i dunno i don't think it's that good.
it looks like current tech cinematic quality. yes i realize its real time, but i was also noticing some frame drops in the video. and a lot of games look "almost" as good but without lag and a huge ass PC. can you imagine how much raw power is being pumped to do that hair shading shit he was talking about? It seems like so much effort for such a small gain.
it's cool but it's not worth buying a new pc for. from the stats he was saying though, Dx12 sounds like good news.

on the first computers you couldnt dream about having more than 100mb on ur hard drive, now you have teras like np.
at some point this will get casual stuff.

Yeah I remember when Crysis broke the world of gaming and every thought it was it and to play new games it would require expensive machines but then technology progressed and a single GPU could take it on Ultra settings after about 8 months.
Think it is but if you saw it in vid he is running 4 of them. Also from the little comparison videos i saw, dx12 produces better fps than dx11 does, at the cost of higher gpu usage tho.
Still i imagine that people with low end machines and average cpu's are gonna profit the most from it.

+ its fuckin final fantasy, its far from being the same world as ours, so dont mind about the style, im sure they'll do just fine.
