I would recommend any farming carry. Get as good at last hitting, farming, and split pushing as you can. This means heroes like:
Anti-mage
Phantom Lancer
Phantom Assassin
Troll Warlord
Sniper
But really, you can climb in MMR with pretty much any hero. My key to raising MMR is a relentlessly positive attitude
u are trash aswell
sub 3k u can simply win 90% of the games by being better mechanically skilled meaning not missing 2 out of 4 creeps in the first 8 min under no pressure
troll warlord
templar assasin
lion
lina
storm spirit
ember spirit
earth spirit
sniper
meepo
phoenix
axe
^All mentioned heros only if u are good at them
@Vaal
Relentless positivity keeps your team from imploding. See http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1308430316. My team was ready to give up 25 minutes in because the other team was up by 25 kills. My positivity rubbed off and we kept trying, and the comeback was real.
Basically, be hard on yourself when you make mistakes, always look for what you can do better, while doing the exact opposite for your teammates. Tell them to relax and the game is still winnable when they are sucking, tell them "wp" when they are doing well, and never flame them, ever, for anything.
if u r on your mmr level, then
es
meepo
jugg
troll
sniper
if u r playing on lower mmr lvl, then listed above and
ember
storm
lc
slark
void
Riki is amazing until you hit just over 2k because most players sub 2k never buy detection. Sometimes they will at the start of the game but then won't keep it up. After that I can't really help you but I know Blitz got good playing Storm Spirit in solo.
jugger/slark/troll/ sniper for carries
sniper/sf/qop/ta mids
lion/necro/skywrath/omni supports
ebola/phoenix/clock/magnus offlaners

Cause while my other questions got answered quite well, I still got one left. Who are good heroes to quickly raise solo MMR with? Cause I've been doing all sorts of watching, practicing (with bots, and yes I'm aware not all habits developed in playing against bots are viable against humans) and generally listening from people of higher skill levels, like Purge and such.
No one likes staying in the trench when they wanna actually test themselves against higher ranked players, so how does one climb the MMR quickly?
