gimmicky as hell and will work better against worse players. The biggest problem is that people already bring dust/sentries/gem against TA...
shadow blade is great situationally, especially ultra late when cores have no slots for detection and are forced to push out the lanes for map control

its an item more for intiating pickoffs than for running though
sb ta was very popular in dota 1, but for mobility, people realised dagger is much better
Have you heard the saying "Everything works in normal bracket." ? Yeah, it's true. But still it's not the worst item you could get.
its situationally good.
its way stronger than dagger in terms of pick offs but subpar in other aspects
the fuck is with people who think invis only works against newbs/noobs
if that was the case riki wouldn't be my highest winrate hero in ranked
invis = invul in low level pubs, tapers off in mid level games where people dont use it properly and opponents start buying detection, and in higher level games its bloody good as a pesudo-smoke to get past wards or to intiate when you have spells that let you know if they have detection (e.g. slark ulti, TA traps). Heroes like riki don't even need anything else because he has blink strike which is enough of a gap closer even if they have sentries.
Invis on riki is awesome for making supports blow all their gold on dusts and sentries then you just laugh all the way to the bank when you still kill them when they are alone and blink out when you're spotted too early. The only time the detection rapes you is if you are setup and don't see it coming.
u get it to bait 40 stuns and spells from enemy folewed by chrono. ezy pzy always get first item no boots, y need boots if ur ult negates enemy boots ezy
The question was SB good on ta not if invis was only for newb - the answer is fixed because obviously there are way better items ...
Can it work even in high lvl game of course but is it the best or even viable option meh not really
Meh, not preferable to blink unless it's ultra-late and opponents are heavy on splitting the map apart; Prophet, Meepo, Morph. Even then you would need another hero with silences to finish them.
Having traps throughout chokes and camps gives you vision; no need to scout first. Unless the enemy has literally every path into jungle warded, there is no need to sneak past. Even then, you can smoke with +1 support and you are guaranteed not to be countered as long as your smoke stays up. Just stay off the map, blink in weird places so they think you've backed.
I've only ever seen sb work REALLY well on heroes who can stun and kill. LC, Kunkka, DK need close-range surprise, and even blink -> stun animation is too long + they can bilnk into danger if they go deep. TA doesn't need this setup time, can judge + escape danger more easily, and the closing distance with sb isn't better than blink. Also has travel time, which blink does not.
Damn I talk too much without saying anything
Its far superior to blink when it comes to picking off squishies with escape mechanisms before they can react (imagine ghost scept silencer, hex prophet, mirana etc). Guarantees 3 hits nearly all the time which is almost always enough.
Blink is better for team fights, but makes BKB almost mandatory. Shadow blade is better for pick offs.
fuck it i give up all these little shits who dont even have much games on TA or play in normal bracket can go on talking about how shit invis is

So I just bought shadow blade for the first time ever on Templar Assassin and it worked out quite well - http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1080301065 , so I was wondering what do you guys think of it? Is a good item to build on lanaya? Is it situational or what? Just interested to hear other Lanaya player opinions.
