There should not be a surrender option and I will tell you why:I usually play at around 4.4-4.5k mmr and I must say that even at that mmr there are people who bitch a lot for like 20-25 min but after that they calm down and you often see the better side of them.Those players are toxic and even if they are ultra good they can ruin the game for you.That's why Valve shouldn't give people like them an option to throw the game at min 20.Peace!

I was Silencer, my friends were tidehunter and Anti-Mage.
I am 4.3k my friend as tide was 4.6 and the anti-mage was 5k (5.6k solo) The meepo player was 6k and i cant remember for abaddon. The other team was mainly around 5.2k which is a LOT HIGHER than me and tidehunter.
As expected, we get destroyed early on, tide went 0-5, it took me forever to get level 6 and as expected, meepo started to throw because he couldn't accept the fact he was playing with much lower people. He actually went afk when they took 2 set of raxes before the 20 miutes mark.
Our friend AM said don't give up guys we just need one big mistake to come back and GUESS WHAT, we wiped them got Aegis and the flow turned around ended up winning despite the fact we got so fucking crushed early on ANDD the level was way too high for me.
This being said, if we were able in such unequal matchup to come back, i can't believe you cant come back in your shit bracket. Got one friend at 2.9k and everytime i watch him, its painful to see that many mistakes being made and how easy you can just win on your own.

The problem is that - imagine yourself on the opposite side. Big part of enjoyment you can get in dota is when you are winning and easily destroy opponents. Yes, equal games where anybody can loose until the very last teamfight is also great, but with surrender button in major of games winning side won't get any pleasure from game.

This has been asked for years, never getting implemented besides CM/lobbies.
If everyone in your team leaves the game the game will end in ~30 seconds and no one will receive an abandon. That is how you surrender.
