This is from TF2 but works in Dota as well. This will cause an FPS drop if you don't have a decent enough GPU. Will increase the detail level of the in-game models to match that of the portraits.
"The game lowers the level of detail on objects at a distance from the camera to save on framerate. Setting r_lod to '0' disables this, forcing the game to always display the highest detail version of each model."

And yeah its working lol more details now and contrast is optimized better:O ( you will instant realize the detail difference when u go into game )
i used to alt tab instant but with this mod takes me 1 second more :'(

Just tried it, and, trust me, it is amazing. It is like 1080p on steroids. Weather effects look 2x better as well. It is not just in game but also interface, however, you might lose about 20fps from what you had max, but it really worth it imho
Edit: scrap that.. looks amazing, but really makes your eyes bleed. Don't recommend using it anyway!

I got a new PC and would like to try something fancy then the normal ultra graphics. I have a GTX 970 and get around 120 FPS
