probably something with extra buttons, for keybinds. i have razer lycosa, its been great until now, just that it doesnt have extra binds :(
i honestly dont like blackwidow, buttons are weird
The general consensus is that Razer products are overpriced for quality and while I completely agree with the statement, they are just so damn shiny, that I can't resist.
Been using orbweaver for gaming and I have to say that the extra thumb buttons do make a great difference - a lot of my binds are on the d-pad and not having to put your hand in an awkward position is really helpful in prolonged game sessions.
Originally it was purchased as an alternative to gaming on a laptop keyboard, since it was really awkward to use. I have switched to a desktop since, but still use orbweaver almost exclusively when gaming.
The only drawback is that having multiple units under control is a bit trickier, since there are only 1-4 numbers.
Otherwise, I would suggest going with Ducky/Corsair keyboards if you want a mechanical one. I have been studying the market for mechanical keyboards for a while and people usually favor these two brands. + I have touched the 2014 BlackWidow in a shop and the "razer switches" kinda feel mushy, compared to cherry MX blues.
Actually I was thinking of getting a keyboard as well. My laptop is dying, so I'm probably just going to get a desktop. I'll check these suggestions out...theyll be better than a laptop keyboard haha.

Ok...just looked at the blackwidow...it changes colors I want that simply because of the colors LOL
GET A STEELSERIES. my brother and i bought a couple 4 years ago and theyre still going strong. our friend got a blackwidow at the same time and he's on his third(razer keeps replacing them)
I've spilled shit on my steelseries, it's been thrown across the room, and every time i just pull the keys off, clean it up and it's back to like new.
honestly, it doesnt really matter, as long as its mechanical and you feel comfortable with it. the differences between most gaming keyboards and your average mechanical keyboard is negligible and you are mostly forking cash out for how good it looks.
anyway almost any keyboard can be saved by having the keys removed, washing it and dunking it into a sack of rice overnight or something.
Okay, so this topic pushed me to get the Razer Blackwidow Chorma. My shift key was broken on my laptop, so it was good timing anyhow. Colors are so awesome. Key strokes are way easier and now my hand isnt blocking my minimap haha. Going to take use to getting use to the location of the esc key...spending more time in buy menu than I would like. Also need to get use to the screen being farther away haha so many little things I'm not aware of.
Is the Razer line really all show more so than the other brands? Seems like the Beatz of keyboards, but I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

You can get decent mechanical keyboards in the 100-150$ range; I bought a Ducky Zero w/ Cherry MX Browns a week ago (still waiting for it to arrive).
