having 120 ms does not mean you're having constant spikes
can you explain more about the lag pseudodissapear?

no the lag spike are a different thing. i just have BOTH 120ms and lag spikes.
i put this

in an autoexec.cfg in dota 2 steam folder and it it made it better, but just on the eye. the ping is there but the visuals are kinda better.

change 40 to 60.
i also have 130-140 ms ping and i get lag spikes in eu west. however, the cause of this is because i'm using ADSL and it's shit during the day because it relies on frequency rather switches
ty mate it made it better but why 2 laptops have that many difference on ms on the same connection on the same conditions. we are speaking 77ms vs 105ms now. but anyways its much better but if someone has some better ideas they are welcome to help.

If someone can help me i would be gratefull. I recently got a Dell 7537 i5 4200U , 6gb Ram, nvidia 750m windows 8.1. Its full capable of playing dota 2 with all graphics maxed i can confirm that as bot games have no problem at all. So now the problem, i usually play Europe West server with my OLD LAPTOP at 70ms ping. With the dell i have 120ms with constant spikes.
let me add that the high ping exists when i connect ethernet cable too.
Also i checked the lap at a different location internet service different router and all. ping still there.
Now the things i test are:
1st) of did several ping test and tracert at cmd propt at valves server that i usually play lux.valve.net and the 2 laptops didnt have a big difference OLD 77ms NEW 88ms
2nd) contacted ISP, they checked my line, send a technician and we confirmed that as it goes for ROUTER and internet line everything is ok. I believe them since old lap works.
3rd) Updated all drivers. GPU, SOUNDCARD, ETHERNET, WIFI u name it i did it.
4rth) I disabled both ethernet and wifi drivers on lap and bought a wifi adapter and played through that.
ping is stable at 104ms no spikes. Old lap still has 77ms.
P.S. i messed with autoexec.cfg to make the lag pseudodissapear (it works for now but still the high ping is there) so i need a more up to the point answer..
PLS GUYS THERE MUST BE A PC GENIUS AMONG US PLS HELP :(
