Dotabuff counts 'No stats recorded' games? in General Discussion

Just played a game where someone disconnected and subsequently abandoned, before first blood & before 5 minutes. He came back to try and finish the game but people were already leaving because it said 'No stats will be recorded for this game.' When I disconnected from the game, it also said that 'Poor network conditions have been detected' message.

Looks like one guy stayed for awhile and kind of fed our heroes to them or something, ultimately ending up losing 4v1.

I was 246-245-1 before that game, finally hitting 50% after losing tons of games last month, so I knew. Then I went to go play another game and just won that game too.

When I checked dotabuff after though, I'm still at 50% and my record went 1-1, even though it said stats wouldn't be recorded for that game. My Shadow Shaman was at 50% win rate as well before that game and now it's below 50% since I 'lost'

Is this intended? Or is it just a limitation of grabbing the match api from Dota 2 that doesn't correctly report things like this. My match history says I 'lost' the game instead of 'No stats recorded' but my record in game is 246-245 which is what it should be.

they can actually make it not count since their "truesight" tool can detect text that says "game is safe to leave will not be recorded"

I'm amazed that's the first time it's happened to you, in game I have 918 wins and 730 losses but on Dotabuff I have 910 wins and 730 losses. That's 16 times where the game was been recorded incorrectly, mainly for the same thing as you've already stated. I think wave is correct though, that truesight can now detect if a game really was marked as safe to leave but remember that truesight is a new feature so it hasn't been around for long and not everyone has access to it.
