Lifestealer and Necrolyte...
Why is Lifestealer my most picked? Well, I see fat heroes in much games so I counter... :D
well you can't really approach them the same way just because they are tanky. Centaur is tanky but he doesn't do much damage after he casts his spells so you can kinda focus on him after you clean up his team(if you can). while you need to get rid of that bristleback and Wraith King ASAP because they are most likely doing heavy damage.
All melee
I wish good luck in lane
and since most of them are dumb "low int" get outworld devourer and spam that ulti like shit
get a ranged carry and support line up like
viper, lich top lane
OD mid
necro/pugna bot
or you can just get medusa and rape all of them at once end game.
Ironically Skywrath is pretty good against all of them provided you get a decent silence off.
If they don't have much AOE, illusions heroes are quite good. At lvl 16+ a ck with manta is quite strong against single target without escape.
Massive pure damage burst and -HP against strength heroes
Great -armor and bonus damage for teammates as well as lockdown and other CC
% hp based spells, -magic resist, good CC
%hp based spells
amazing -armor, good lockdown, good chase
@wink
Pretty much this, str heroes melt to -armor due to their already low armor.
Your physical damage will basically become amplified pure damage against them.
I think the best thing vs tanky heroes is magic dmg, since a lot of them normally dont buy BKB.
strength heros excel at the mid game when they get a blink or bloodstone or whatever item they need, its usually only one item, and their strengths revolve around their kit and tends to be shut down by bkb.
thus, you should have a bkb carry. lifestealers not a good option against strength heros because they tend to build armor which completely shuts him down.
veno does work on him (cancelling blinks with wards, gale allows you to kite them around, and r does work even on str heros), slardars solid with his ult, timber, TA is also great. AA can shut these guys out of lanes at level 1 and his w and r do work on them post-laning stage.
just keep in mind that after the mid game these heros tend to fall off a lot, so you should try to burn them early on in lanes to cripple their mid game and if you can keep it even after the mid game you should be fine.
Necro, Timber, why not elder titan also?
100% Base armor reduced and 33% magic resist reduced, can deal almost pure damage to tank maybe
@Yfay, you can't spam OD ulti.
Also it's ineffective against str heroes. Even if it deals like 1500 damage, you're up against a 4k hp hero, so it's not that good. In general, I think OD is rather mediocre against mass str heroes. It just takes him too long to rape him, and he is squishy, so he dies fast.
*Bumping topic after seeing VP getting rekt vs a strenght lineup using the - armor strat.
What do you think was it execusion? IMO Bristleback just didnt care. Any other ideas how to play vs these heros? Or is it only the % dmg heros that can deal with them?
Elder titan doesn't work, he only strips off base armor which is armor from plus agi items, not plus armor items. So it doesn't remove like ac, shivas etc.
I'd just counter str with str. They have centuar, bristle, brew? Get doom and tidehunter. Then some ranges to blow them up.
@deadshot
they never had a chance because they were focussing the BB instead of the actual damage dealers. also getting picked off like 9 times wasnt helping, and treant was useless because of ember.

For example cent, brewmaster, tide, wraith king etc and overall strength oriented lineups
