For the same price you can get AC, Heart and Necro 3 and all are way more useful. But I don't know if you want all out push you could go like BoT, Manta, Deso, AC, Necro and Vlads.
Movement speed is kinda wasted cus he moves at full with ult. IAS is kinda wasted cus his base time in ult form is super low anyway and his passive that boots IAS. Just way better items out there.

the nerf'd necro3 gives 400+ gold is way too much now.
35 cd is great compared to necro 90+ cd
but 160 mana cost vs necro3's 50 mana cost , and + 10 int vs + 24 int. you will probably have big mana usage problem.
1) Manta has 50 seconds CD.
2) Necro gave 400 gold in total last patch as well.
3) They run at 522 speed if you use ulti so they can easily escape without dying (most of the time).
4) You generally won't be pushing that often anyway.
I can picture it working kinda like Naga's illusions, just pop manta and send it up a lane, it will carry your auras and your ulti form, then just push a different lane yourself with necro, but this is a purely splitpush item, other items are much better for killing (AC, abyssal, bkb, etc)

How is IAS wasted on lower BAT? It still has the same relative effect. For example, an increase of 100 AS when you have 200 AS is still a 50% increase in DPS whether you have a BAT of 1 second or 10 seconds.
I guess he just meant you don't need that much attack speed because you already hit really fast, so you should just focus on damage instead.
I haven't done math but my guess is with a BAT of 1 adding +dmg items vs more IAS is a greater net dmg output. I could be totally wrong though but I still wouldn't manta on lycan, 6 slotted pusher I'd go for necro 3, vlads, boots, deso, ac, abyssal. 1 shot towers practically.
I remember seeing a post by clan_iraq of PD about a soul ring necro 3 refresher manta build that was just hardcore split push.

What do you think about that item on Lycan? I built it today for shits and giggles against bots, and found out that it's not all that bad. Those wolf illusions are pretty strong, especially since they also have haste and crits.
It's probably not all that good, because you can get different, better items for the same price but could it be good in certain situations?
