@ixmike all my games are very high skill games. i never play a single high or normal game before
@darkly btw the latest game u played is normal lol. its like u never improve from ur 1st game
you're just playing against shitty players. Pudge is not that good of a hero. He's very effective against bad players though.
You can counter Pudge with some good ward placement, communication (calling missing if he is), and by out-lasthitting him a lot mid with top mid picks.
He's still a strong mid though.
@papa bro ur latest game is normal. so please.. lol. if i were to play with u ill get 30 kiills every game
thanks for taking the time and checking my latest games. Unfortunately I don't give the slightest shit about your existence, so I cannot confirm if you're really playing in high.
Still just playing against bad players who don't know how to counter pudge though, doesn't matter if high, very high or low.
@mango that usually do not work against me. i have players dbl triple teaming me after they had played with me ill just avoid areas with ward. my map awareness has become very good has improve drastically because i have play a lot and i immediately sense this hero potential. the only hero that can ever be a threat to pudge is batrider to me
Pudge is a horrible hero, mostly played by horrible players. I play him too when im in troll-mode and wanna have fun wiv le hooks and because he is fun to play. But tryhards that play this hero are just idiots. Nyx is a better mid ganker and he can do anything that Pudge can but without having to risk failing hook, with being invisible, with having more movement speed as well as having mana burn which can be very effective.
@toef corrections. pudge is horrible in the hand of terrible players. to me ur map awareness has to be top notched, knowing when to hook and ur positioning. i cant argue theres a lot of bad pudge and u never seen a good one before. but once u have u will change ur thinking
@lulz if u play a lot of pudge , u will know few big rules that u have to follow , and no i have to disagree with u.
A nyx that gets what he needs mid (usually his levels and some last hits) and ganks nearly as much as Pudge did will snowball harder than Pudge.
I agree though that a good Pudge can be very annoying.
@i can c u like nyx. but pudge is one of the best snowballer or maybe the best. many ppl do not know that pudge is very item dependant. good player usually get cores on pudge before man moding unless its a secure kill without having urself ended dead in the end.
Yes, I agree he is very item dependent. A few bad ganks at the sidelanes will have me pressured to catch up.
And I agree he is one of the best snowballer. But I dare not say he is THE best.
@roy and how exactly r u going to counter a pudge that lands every hook on u. assume his hooks are precise. u cant even farm properly
once my rot caught up to u. i never missed a hook assuming u have no blink or escape mechanism. even u have i can still hook u. ive tried it so many times.
Then it must be normal tier. Almost all consistent mid heroes beat Pudge mid.
pudge mid can be really fucking annoying
he's really easy to gank though
ganking him early and shutting him down can severely neuter him
Not everyone tries to pick a hero that counters pudge mid.
If you encounter tryhard mid chances are you are going to be beaten (if they play that hero as much as you did pudge)
Look out for:
QOP (experienced player will be hard to hook+ hard to kill till you get lvl 6)
Clockwerk (No mana+ if you hook him, hes just going to kill you, unless hooked under towerm plus his hook is longer than yours, so he can engage on you if you hook an ally)
Puck - no explanation needed
list goes on, idea is- if you encounter heroes like that mid with players of similar skill, you will lose 80% of times.
Not saying you are playing bad, or anything, its just agaisnt tryhards (esspecially stacks) pudge is not that effective.
As I said earlier, good communication and warding counters Pudge, as well as solid mid heroes.
For the record. "ixmike all my games are very high skill games. i never play a single high or normal game before"
Never make a sweeping statement on how good you are and what tier you play without first checking your players data.
^tbf, even aui_2000 has games in normal bracket...
But for sure Papa Het has no idea what he's talking about.
ok my bad but my matches above high this month is still llike 85%-90%. of course theres going to be normal and high games because u have to play normal games from ur game 1 im talking about recently, not 6,7 months ago
@terrible
for qop( ill never play agressive with him and will try to fake hook zone him out and when i think i can 100% hook him i just hook to make him blink away under tower.ill use hook to take creep kills. i wont even bother try to win last hit against him because my hp will only go down and thats what a qop want. once i reach lvl 6 this is when im going to win my lane. i never fail against qop before btw
clockwerk (avoid cog, as i say good pudge has good position , hard opponent but still manageable as im getting better with it.
puck( his aim: phase shift when u hook, so dont bother doing that unless he has no vision of u.i think its pretty hard for him to kill u. its all about positioning and map awareness. its all up to ur exp intake lvl 6 game changing like qop
only hero that can caught a good pudge offguard is batrider. when i say bat he is 9-10 minute blink bat player with upgraded shoe
Lets 1v1. Im a scrub player, but Pudge is such a terrible hero mid im gonna win easy. Give me anything, clock, qop, puck doesnt matter, ill smack u easily.
pudge mid can be great but hes like ta in that to win you need someone who just wont lose to him mid. the other problem with pudge, according to dendi, is that latency really will impact your performance more than any other hero.
p.s. ive seen jugs mid played against pudge watching some higher bracket games and win, i assume other people like tide could do it too. viper might if you skill around it. most heros that would beat pudge mid aren't laned mid often in pro/high tier play (tide and jugs see some mid in pro play) or arent played at all (viper). because of that no one in higher tier pub games does it since most outside of high tier CM follow trends. the only good hero mid against pudge thats commonly picked is puck really.
Pudge is a good hero and can really lead the roll of a team by killing off key targets but even as much as i love him I still don't feel he is such a ground-breakingly good mid.
Still every hero deserves to be played at least once and if you are having fun and you feel you are winning a lot of your games then sure, why stop playing him. Keeping in mind again that looking at your last 3 games though were heavily influenced by who went mid against you and the level of skill they had controlling the mid.
pudge is so op it gets 5 cs in 10 mins mid against any mid hero and stays minus 2 levels at the same time
here u have list of heroes that shit on pudge mid, most of them arent even real mid heroes but still if u place them against pudge mid hes going to getoutfarmed hard and in most cases killed

i think pudge solo mid is unbeatable what do u think and btw my winning rate was 53 before ever since i play pudge my winrate just go up , my kda also improve from 2.00 this month.
i lag a lot btw, or else my winning rate would be at least 80 on pudge
