I wait one more week before I start playing ap again. For now I think aba still gets instant picked.
As general rule, hex is the best counter for aba (hex also dispels shield). Axe/Necro/Lina/Lion ulties are not that great against him because he can activate ulti manually. You have better chances with a feeded mortred or any hero with high dmg crits. Techies also is great at killing him before activating his ulti.
In short : Abaddon OP nerf plx Volvo or Riot or Icefraud. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING
@6_din_49
Axe ulti is the only thing that truly counters his ulti because you can still one shot him.
not as visible as in dota1
they should change animation to better one cuz this one is lame
Very few people activate it manually because it's just way easier to let the spell itself do it. And when it activates itself he has around 400 HP which means a kill with a level 2 Culling Blade.
hes not that strong tbh. His ult is anoying but people just hear that sound and stop attacking him. I guess his winrate is only that high because new players dont understand his ult at all.
Abaddon win rate is between 55.5% and 58% in Bronze-Platinum. Only Diamond is a low 51.5%. But that's less than 1,000 games. Players do not instantly get their play on a new (or have not played in a year) hero up to Very High level. I expect Diamond win rate will pick up to maybe 54% or so once people get used to playing him again.
Its one thing to know how to pop his ult and then wait 5 seconds or whatever...but its another to actually overcome the advantage that time gives you in a teamfight. If Abaddon is alone with a team a scrubs sure you can wait him out. But if his team is also good the extra time when you can't kill him is a serious advantage. He front line tanks better than almost any other hero in the game. If you get some farm up on him he can't be ignored.
again after treant and huskar there comes abba i dont get the fuckin point of those heroes it just remove every possible fun in the games, he just a+click every one the support cant do shit and he dont give a shit of anything with his 6s debuff@world.
Maybe you should pick rhasta/lion/bane/naga as supports (or whatever disablers) instead of kotl/treant/chen/visage?
BTW AA ulti works against aba's ulti? Or gets dispelled?
AA counters him actually. Since it prevents healing, Abaddon won't heal himself using his ulti. But he won't take any damage either.
Well, it's better then axe/lina/lion ulti. At least when you play against a competent abadon.
every hero can kill abaddon actually.
the best thing to counter abaddon is using item which is eul or hex. just skill when his ulti activated.
As of this morning 18 players have 30+ games of Abaddon now on the highscore in DotabuffPlus. The scores range from 1552 to 4406. Winrate from 52% to 78%.
So for a little while longer you could be in the top 50 Abaddon players just by playing 30+ games.
Today the enemy had Omniknight and Abaddon in the same team. You can't kill anybody. It's just too damn strong.
Played few games agaisnt abba, he is not hard to kill, unless you are retarded enough to atack him while utli. Had no problem with that with random people so welp. Good support though, nice heal and shield.

After a week of play Abaddon holds onto the #3 highest winrate for pubs at 56.8% or so.
I played my first game of Abaddon today since leaving dota 1 over a year ago and he seems as absurdly hard to kill as ever. I never played Lord of Avernus much in dota 1 and I had forgotten just how excellent he is at keeping other people alive as well.
Despite people feeding a snowball team of slark, tiny, and bounty hunter early I was still able to keep weak players alive even in a 60 min game long enough for it to have an impact on the fight (ie they cast their spells instead of dieing having done nothing). For instance dazzle was so bad he leveled stats instead of shallow grave...he did 8 points in stats rather than maxing grave...then he wonders why he tends to be to far to cast grave or too close and gets focused...but I was even able to keep this guy alive long enough for him to cast spells.

We were down 25K xp and 20K gold at 28 min, had lost 5 outer towers for no trade...kill score 34-17...still managed to come back and win eventually in 60+ min as spectre finally got big enough, but we were so far behind we won with megas creeps while still down almost 14k gold.
Since I have not played this hero in over a year and was still able to have this much impact I am optimistic about the possibilities once I stop making so many mistakes.
In other news, jungling with axe in my games losses again...now 4 wins, 35 losses...pls don't jungle with axe.
