Usually people who were at ~3k/bought a 3k account and then went into MMR freefall. For some reason they seem to think they're entitled to core roles and most Archons, except those who have played a lot of games with these 'Legends', oblige. Personally, I fight tooth and nail to make sure they don't get a core role, though they usually do, because that one legend in an Archon game is almost always the guy who's 0-8 20 minutes into the game and raging at everyone. I almost have an orgasm when there's a legend on the other team who picks SF or Invo because that's my cue to pick TA in what I already know is a free game. Don't think I've ever lost lane as TA to a Legend - which sounds impressive until you realize that I often lose lane to Archons (mostly on heroes other than TA) and I once lost lane to an Archon SF as TA, my lowest moment in Dota.

It counts for party mmr aswell. So He might have a party mmr of 5+k an be divine 5 while his solo mmr is 2k.

Maybe but normally if you look at their dotabuff it is page after page of red post-calibration...

i am an 1.5k archon 2 but my party mmr is 2.9k hence archon 2 so yr legend in 2k is like that 2k solo 4k-5k party

If you find someone with higher medal in an avg lower medal game then you know that guy is an account buyer or failed smurf on his way down. DON'T let them take core and remember to report after the game.

But be careful, sometimes there are games with 2 higher avg same medals on each team, unless you see a negative spike skill difference, don't just go thinking that person is one t\of them and don't go reporting them, make the game easier for them and your chances of winning will be greater. I'd say those games are even easier to win, you only have to NOT fail and play better than the lower ranked players on the others team and you will win

If I were you I wouldn't like any legends 3/4/5 in my games, just means they are losing mmr probably

If your team is full of leg0 and archon5 players at least they are players in their current peak

At the end of the day what Tribo said is the only truth due to medals being gained through the players highest mmr, even if there is a 3k+ gap between solo and party

Since your winrate is so high that means you are thrashing people in your bracket. You will up rank in no time. Then you will face more slark, riki and sf as well as more zeus who will ruin your game.

@Story Time .. Dotabuff is missing ~61% of my games on the hero. Up to date numbers according to the client are 299 games @ 58.2% WR which, while not great, is decent considering that the hero has an overall 44% wr in my bracket and around 80-90 of those games were first picking the hero when learning it which meant often getting green cancered. Still have trouble with Tinker, with Tinker winning slightly more often in lane.

Their current MMR has dropped to 2K, since the medals only show the highest MMR rank that players achieved (In this case they are legend medal). In short, they have losing streak or red days.

Its just dummies with high party mmr or turds who lost 600-700 mmr

I'm that ancient 1 with high party mmr and poop solo. I always claim the core role they always oblige.
