I do not understand why people think sven is better at late game than AM. Any agi cores even str cores with better attack speed can rekt sven with abyssal. You're saying sven farms faster. Until AM gets BF, I can agree with that. After that AM farms faster due to his attack speed + 5 second cooldown blink. AM can be 6 slotted in 30-36 minutes. It really depends on team situation. Sven is more like Mid game dominant carry. Sven usually gets domi + blink + echo + bkb then he starts getting into fights more often. For AM he has to farm a lot to go into a fight. AM cannot die so he usually split pushes and farms. However if you let AM farm and time goes over 30+ if AM has never died... well that is pretty big mistake even you have sven who's 5 or 6 slotted. AM with butter + abyssal + manta + BF can rekt sven. All he have to do is initiate and drop abyssal pop manta after 4-5 second sven will not have any mana + with pretty low hp. If sven iniate with his 3rd skill + ulti he might be able to kill him if crit happens multiple times or somebody stuns AM little longer. Sven has pretty low attack speed. Sven hits hard but he's slow. Lastly, if you're letting sven stack his ancient and not interrupting... thats pretty much stupidity. If i play against sven I have to ward their ancient and steal it from him or have to make him stop stacking it. You do not give him free farm. On the other hand AM is not about stacking and killing it all at once. Once he gets his BF he just goes into jungle and clears em all then appear in a safelane pushes the waves then goes back to jungle. AM is better than SVEN if you know how to counter play.

AM has some advantages over Sven. Firstly you can split push like a beast, there is not a lot Sven can do when his team is getting destroyed except hope for a lucky 3 man stun in a fight, meanwhile as AM you can dodge fights, cut waves and threaten objectives, and farm your way back into the game doing this.
Secondly you aren't reliant on bkb+blink initiation like Sven is, if Sven gets his bkb kited and doesn't kill anyone super quickly although his damage is super high he has big issues actually killing people instead of just walking around the fight looking stupid. Once his bkb goes down to 5 seconds it is very easy to deal with even an extremely farmed Sven, meanwhile an AM with 5 second blink is always guaranteed to use his networth and get hits off with abyssal.
Finally Sven is cooldown reliant, although Gods strength lasts for quite a while it doesn't persist through aegis or buyback and it eventually runs out. Coupled with how easy Sven is to kite it can be quite easy to bait out Svens gods strength then take advantage of its downtime.
I play a lot of AM at 6k ranked, although the matchup is definitely one of the harder AM matchups it is winnable if you play appropriately. I think a linkens is a must have to stop you getting bursted from sven blink+stun and butterfly really fucks up Svens day as he will usually not have a slot for mkb unless he replaces his dagger or daedalus. Sven is very slot limited as he basically needs blink+boots+bkb to actually function in fights without being kited and useless so he only has three actual item slots.
Am sucks without farm, Sven doesn't. Well he kinda does but with only dominator and echo and gods strength he still does work. Most players in our level suck at farming hence when Sven is better in pub play

U have 500 game with AM but with that 47%overall winrate is just proof that u didnt improve at all

Anti mage is a lot more mobile than most other carries, and hard counters a lot of int heroes, especially stuff like storm and invoker, who have a lot of mana. He has the ability to farm faster than any other carry in the game with 2 exceptions, naga siren and alchemist, naga because she is made to be able to farm up to 4 (6 with manta) different areas of the map at once, and alchemist because alchemist cheats.
And yes, as long as he gets free farm and manages to grab a battlefury at sub 15min, he farms a lot faster than sven. Why? Because you underestimate blink as a farming tool. Sven gets pseudo six-slotted at 35min, anti-mage can get fully 6-slotted with moon shard to boot at 35min.
With am's natural mobility, you can easily cut creepwaves, farm the jungle, and still be near fights to get a few pickoffs. the only other heroes that can do that are tinker, furion, ember and storm, and none of those carries can match anti-mage in a 1v1. (edit: add spectre to the list)
Yes, sven has a lot more teamfight potential, and better synergy with other heroes, than am. He hits a lot harder, and tanks a lot more. But, i wouldn't say that he snowballs harder. AM can snowball just as hard, if not harder, than a sven at full throttle. Why? because again, you people underestimate blink.
