Never a good idea to spam a core unless they are above like 54% WR, Alch has too many hard counters that will dominate him in lane and follow him into the jungle to kill him more. Bloodseeker, MK, Bounty Hunter and Ursa will all wreck your shit.
I used to play Alch some roamer/sup back when B-runes was every 2 min
Spamming Alch might work if u are readt to play sup Alch when needed
and don't max GREED if u can't get the counter over +20g anyway in early game which u won't get!
edit. its really nice to have ability for stun!

Pro players even make a looot more.
If your a great player, you can really get some quick money if you know how to deal some mr hoes
