I am stuck in 1K i was an archon before this and I got back in the game after 6 months a little while back. However, I am not going above the 1.3k mark. However, hard I try. Please look at my games and tell me what have I been doing wrong.
Also some suggestions regarding heroes to play mid(i generally play mid) and counters to popular heroes like invoker, tinker and zues
    Thanks

    Eddie

Practice support heroes and play more games, you haven't even reached 1k total games so don't worry you will improve

look buddy, its not sth special! you go here "https://www.opendota.com/meta?" then u search high winrates heros on ur bracket, then u practice them, then u use them! ur picking dk! whats the point of dk ! u cant even win mid with him! as long as ur not able to win ur lane, u will not win ur game! specially as midder!

i have 1k acc with C- behaviour score, and with first pick sf, i can win mid ! and im not even good sf player, or tryharding ! and sf have 40% winrate! so if u practice a good hero, and get good , and win ur lane, its not a big deal, its just 1k!

And try to learn something with more skillcap than your weak DK.
You can reach a given level playing only this shit pick but will eventually face ennemies who climbed with harder picks and, hence, outplay you hard.

                  1. as core you die so often.
                  2. you rushing mid game items instead of early items like wrath band. dont rush threads then shadow blade.
                  3. your starting items is so bas. 3 tangoed only? try 6 tangoes 1 salve and branches.
                  4. practice last hit. your cs in first 10 minutes is below average. 50 cs is the average.
                  5. participate in team fights next to the objective. eg. taking towers, roshan, etc...

                    this is so wrong

I mean honestly you only have 800 games so you have much to learn yet...

as long as ur not able to win ur lane, u will not win ur game!
This is incorrect, whilst winning your lane increases your odds of winning, if other lanes fail horribly the game is lost.

losing your lane makes games hard. you can lose a lane and lose the game (much likely to happen)
but theres Always moments that you can go in for a comeback. losing lanes make games hard, but not impossible.

First of all I'm confused with this statement, while @Soka trying to pinpoint how bad is dk as a pick in 1k I can't see what's the difference of first picking sf can make?

as long as ur not able to win ur lane, u will not win ur game! specially as midder!

While the point of midlane is of course to help creating space for your team the

win your lane, win the game
                          principle isn't always necessarily true

hi, am 4 months old player, what i did, i practiced support until i mastered around 6 heroes while struggling in guardian (you will never go out of guardian as support due to shit carries giving away ez games).

So I made a new account, took me 2 weeks to calibrate, and here i am around 1.5k (Crusader 5) making my way with nice challenging matches (if you think you can climb faster by normal matches as support, forget about it @ 1k level, its all about luck of having good carries beside you, trust me)

^climbing with support is izzy in all brackets, dont fool yourself, you are just bad support
