VHS hard to get? in General Discussion

I've been seeing a lot of post lately about new accounts and a "new matchamking system" which makes VHS hard to reach. I decided to try it myself creating a new account and got VHS in just 2 games.

So this should clear your doubts I guess, btw VHS is shit tier.

    inb4: What's your mmr? I'm a 4k trenchlord.

You're trying to say that if a 1k player plays from the same IP that his 6k brother, creating a new account, he will get matched in VHS his first game or something like that?

I had a smurf 2 y ago, but forgot the email n acc name, got VHS from game 1, basically there is no way for the game to know who is playing (other than IP detection) since it is the very first game. So I guess yes, but he ll drop to normal in the next 2-3 games, cuz VHS/HS games are pretty tough for a 1k mmr player

            Yo Sugar Daddy!

              nope, just play well

Im 4,7k on this acc and I had a smurf that I used to play from time to time when I was too high to play ranked matches on my main, so I went there to play some ability drafts or AP trying weird builds. I stated that I was new in the game (yea im a bad boy), I stomped noobs for 2 games and then I got placed in vhs being matched with 5k+ players... After some months playing it from time to time I was allowed to play ranked, so I decided to calibrate, untill that point all of my games were VHS.
But then in my first calibration I was placed in a 3,5k mmr average game (high skill bracket), that confused me.. But I kept playing calibration games and they were around the same; 3,6... 3,7.. At the end of calibration I won 9 out of 10 games, with 4 or 5 of them carrying really hard. I ended up with 3,9k mmr after calibration, FeelsBadMan :(

So Idk if its because my stats on that account were not very good cuz i wasnt playing too serious on that account, or maybe because valve made the mmr more difficult, but thats just my experience.
